I am looking for a new automatic transmission for a 1966 GTO.
The car has a rebuilt 389 YS motor (335 HP)
I am looking for the best replacement for the (1972) 350 turbo transmission installed in the car now. I have a column shift with a Park, Rev, Drive and Low selection. I would like to keep the shift configuration the same.
Could you make some recommendations and price quotes?

If your car just has 2 drive positions in it, you originally had a ST300 2 speed. The TH350 with the 6" extension housing is the same length and the 200-4R overdrive is also the same length and would bolt right up to the Pontiac engine. The shifter is in the same location but has two lower positions for 1st and 2nd, and depending on your column, your shifter may go down far enough. The rear mount would have to be modified, it sets about 7" farther back. The crossmember will have to be modified, you will need to ensure that you get the proper drive line angle. The package that I mentioned would come with a transmission cooler, fill tube & indicator, transmission mount, lockup module, Tru-Shift throttle correction system and a flex plate cover. There are a couple of horse power options which we need to discuss before pricing.
