1956 Ford F100 “Clem 101”
Ringbrothers showed off another awesome build at SEMA 2017 with this 1956 Ford F100 that they named “Clem 101.” True to Ringbrothers’ style, they combined old-school looks with modern technology in this beautiful pickup truck. It started out as a rusty old 1954 F100 and evolved into a 1956 model when they traded the ’54 cab for a ’56. The bed of the truck was completely built from scratch, the fenders were widened by three inches, and the wheel openings were narrowed. The original 1954 grille stuck around and goes well with the modified bumpers with chrome work by Advanced Plating.
More modifications include extending the wheelbase by seven inches, narrowing the custom Ford Crown Victoria subframe by five inches, and extending the front fenders forward. Ringbrothers crafted new billet hood hinges as well as tie downs for the bed. On top of the smooth BASF Glasurit paint in the color “Speedy P Green,” the exterior also features a completely machined tailgate, a custom fabricated trailer hitch, and HRE Vintage Series 545 wheels wrapped in Nitto tires. Brakes are Baer six-piston disc brakes on all four corners.
Powering the truck is a 415-horsepower 5.0-liter Ford Coyote crate motor with Ford Racing fuel injection. That’s hooked up to a Bowler 4R70W 4-speed automatic transmission for smooth control. The rear end comes in the form of a John’s Industries 9-inch and rear suspension is a RideTech 4-link with RideTech coil over springs. Inside the fresh looking interior you’ll see custom-upholstered seats by Upholstery Unlimited, guages from Classic Instruments, a Vintage Air Heritage heating and cooling system, and a new Kicker audio system. Ringbrothers has really done an amazing job on this 1956 Ford F100 and we love seeing our transmission being put to great use inside of it.
