Transmission Builder – Join the Elite Team at Bowler Performance
Bowler Performance Transmissions is growing, and we're actively searching for a skilled, motivated Transmission Builder who takes pride in true craftsmanship. If you're tired of assembly-line work, corner-cutting, or "good enough" — you'll fit in perfectly here.
About the Role
We need someone with hands-on transmission and hydraulic experience who can take a unit from teardown to final QC with precision and pride. You'll work with the performance transmissions that define our industry:
- Automatic: 4L80E, 4L60E, 4R70W, 700-R4, 6L80E, 10L90E, 6R80E, 10R80E
- Manual: Tremec T-56 Magnum, TKO, TKX
This is aftermarket performance building, not basic OEM rebuilding.
What Makes Bowler Different
We don't build to factory spec — our standards are higher.
- Every transmission is hand-built by one technician, start to finish
- No shortcuts — valve bodies are fully disassembled, vacuum-tested, corrected, and rebuilt
- We use premium components only
- Quality, reliability, and craftsmanship drive every decision
- Our shop is clean, organized, and built around precision work
What We're Looking For
- Experience with transmissions and a working understanding of hydraulics
- Ability to manage a full build from teardown to final QC
- Extreme attention to cleanliness and detail
- Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines
- Comfortable speaking with customers
- Basic computer skills
- Must provide your own basic hand tools (we provide all specialty tools)
If you want to build transmissions you're proud to put your name on, we want to talk to you.
Salary: Based on experience.
