When Randy Marston purchased this 1966 Chevrolet C-10 from a swap meet, he thought he was just going to have a slightly customized truck to take for cruise rides. But as these things can tend to go, he then got into a discussion with Roger Burman of Lakeside Rods & Rides. They came up with a much bigger plan for this pickup and the rest is history. What came of it is what Randy likes to call a “two-lapper,” because one needs to take two laps around this truck to be able to fully take in all of the amazing details.

It begins with a SPEC Roadster Shop chassis with a cantilever rear suspension, which is a first for Roadster Shop. The engine is a Turnkey 427ci LS7 with a Keene Bell 3.6L supercharger. It’s mated to a Bowler 4L80E performance transmission. This makes for an awesome ride experience according to Roger Burman. The “Unruly” inset panel on the back was custom machined into 5/8 aluminum and sits beautifully with the hand-made Camaro bumpers. Exterior paint is Lexus Atomic Silver and Mercedes Citrinbraun. They laid the tailgate ahead 1.5″ on the top and then built the spoiler on it to resemble newer Chevrolet Silverados.

The newer Silverado pickup style continues to the interior of this 1966 Chevrolet C-10 as well, and the center console is actually from a ’16 Silverado. Up front is a gauge setup built by Dakota Digital with a hand-built dash sporting Vintage Air and Iron Works air switches. The impeccable style continues to the re-covered Dodge Intrepid leather seats in burgundy and slate gray. Dan Weber of Weber Custom Interiors paint matched all interior surfaces and the faux leopard wood inserts match the bed. Everything is power and electric and Lakeside Rods installed a Sony head unit and speakers.
