The Tremec TKX 5-Speed is the modern replacement for older TKO and T-5 units. This GM-pattern TKX is engineered for compact tunnel fitment, higher RPM capability, and crisp short-throw shifting. With a 600 lb-ft torque rating, multi-cone synchros, and a redesigned case for better strength and cooling, it’s one of the most reliable 5-speed upgrades available for street, autocross, and road-course builds.
Its slim profile clears most factory tunnels without cutting, and the three shifter locations allow perfect fit in a wide range of GM applications. The .81 overdrive provides strong highway manners without sacrificing acceleration.
