1965 Ford Mustang “Black Diamond”
This 1965 Ford Mustang was built by Classic Restorations for owners Todd and Stephanie Foust. Back in 2011 it took home awards like the Autoloc Slick & Smooth from Goodguys PPG Nationals, Classic Instruments Pro’s Pick at NSRA Street Rod Nationals, Flowmaster American Thunder Winner from Goodguys Peak Chicagoland Nationals, People’s Choice at Harvest Homecoming, and much more. It’s not hard to see why this hot rod is such an award winner, either. From front to back this car shines in every way.
Under the hood is a powerful Ford Racing Boss 374ci by Demon SixShooter and making use of that power is a Ford AODE from Bowler Performance Transmissions. The rear end is a 9″ with TCS G-Link, Coil-Overs, and an Anti-Roll Bar. Front suspension is from TCP coil-over as well with TCP rack & pinion steering. Wheels are a one-off from Forgeline with custom center locks and tires are BF Goodrich P215/35ZR18 front and P275/35ZR18 rear. For brakes they went with Wilwood 13-inches in front and 12-inches in the rear.
The interior was crafted by Cutter’s Custom Stitchin’ along with custom millwork from C. Cook Enterprises. The black exterior and black interior flow seamlessly together to create this simply spectacular car. In 2012 this car also won the Royal Purple Show It Off At SEMA contest and made the top 20 at the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational. We’re proud to see one of our transmissions being used in such an awesome car, nice work to everyone involved
